## What is free

- **Slope and dumbbell views**: Any two periods as a slope or a dumbbell chart, from two measures or one measure plus a Period column. Dumbbells sort by end, start, change, % change, name or data order.
- **Labels that never overlap**: Collision-free end labels with leader lines; on a small canvas the least important labels give way first. Show name, value, rank or both on each side.
- **Change annotations**: %, absolute, both, percentage points (automatic for percent measures), rank move, or % and rank together. A start at or below zero shows the absolute change, never a misleading %.
- **Rise, fall, flat and lower is better**: Rising / falling / flat colouring with a dead band (e.g. +-2 %), and a Higher is better switch for costs, defects or scrap.
- **Focus and highlight**: Focus on named categories, rising only or falling only, and the rest fades to grey; hover isolates a line.
- **Four themes and every cosmetic option**: SmartVisuals, Dark, Clean and Slate themes, per-category colours with fx rules and your real category names in the format pane, report theme colours, and control over every label, marker, axis and colour. Value gridlines, off by default, are under Period headers & axes > Value gridlines, with their own Gridline label size, Gridline label color and a shared Axis and gridline color; they draw in the slope and dumbbell views.

## What premium adds

- **Three or more periods**: The path through every month, quarter or year, up to the latest 36, with a note under the chart when earlier periods are left out.
- **Top / Bottom N movers**: Focus on the biggest movers, gainers or decliners by % change, absolute change, rank move or last value.
- **Small multiples**: One slope per region, segment or plant, with shared scales.
- **Story headline**: A headline written from your data: who led the rise, who fell furthest, how many rose, the total change and a new number one.
- **Bump view**: Ranks computed for you, smooth curves and rank-move labels.
- **Benchmark and scales**: An average benchmark line with each line coloured by whether it ends above or below it, plus indexed (first period = 100) and share-of-period scales.
